Do’s and Don’ts 87Additional InformationTO AVOID CONDENSATIONDo not expose the camcorder tosudden or extreme changes intemperature.Remove the cassette, place thecamcorder in an airtight plastic bag andlet it adjust to temperature changesslowly before removing it from the bag.W HEN CONDENSATION IS DETECTEDThe camcorder automatically shuts off,the warning message “CONDENSATIONHAS BEEN DETECTED” appears forapprox. 4 seconds and starts flashing.If a cassette is loaded, the warningmessage “REMOVE THE CASSETTE”appears and starts flashing. Removethe cassette immediately and leave thecassette compartment open. Leaving thecassette in the camcorder may damagethe tape.A cassette cannot be loaded whencondensation is detected.RESUMING USEThe precise time required for waterdroplets to evaporate will vary dependingon the location and weather conditions.After the condensation warning stopsflashing, wait for 1 more hour beforeresuming use.Using the Camcorder AbroadPower SourcesYou can use the compact power adapterto operate the camcorder and to chargebattery packs in any country with powersupply between 100 and 240 V AC, 50/60Hz.
