Failure to do so couldresult in serious electrical shock, burns, orpossible death.CAUTION - High Temperature. Keep electrical cords, drapes, andother furnishings away from heater.When using electrical appliances, basic precautions shouldalways be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, andinjury to persons, including the following:1. Read all instructions before using this heater.2. Read all information labels. Verify that the electrical supplywires are the same voltage as the heater.3. All electrical work and materials must comply with theNational Electric Code (NEC), the Occupational Safety andHealth Act (OSHA), and all state and local codes.4. The heater must be grounded to one of the grounding screwsprovided.5. If you need to install a new circuit or need additional wiringinformation, consult a qualified electrician.6. Protect electrical supply from kinks, sharp objects, oil, grease,hot surfaces or chemicals.7. Do not place heater against paperboard or low-densitycellulose fiberboard surfaces.8. Do not place heater below an electrical convenience receptacle.9. WARNINGOverheating or fire may occur. Do not install the heater behinddoors.10. WARNINGFire or explosion may occur. Heater has hot and arcing orsparking parts inside. Do not install heater in any area wherecombustible vapors, gases, liquids, or excessive lint or dustare present.11. WARNINGBurn Hazard. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns,do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use extreme cautionwhen any heater is used by or near children or invalids andwhenever the heater is left operating unattended. Keepcombustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding,papers, clothes, and curtains away from heater.12. WARNINGRisk of electrical shock. Do not insert or allow foreign objectsto enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may causean electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.13. WARNINGRisk of Fire. Do not block heater. To prevent a possible fire, donot block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Heater must bekept clear of all obstructions: minimum of 12 inches in frontand above, 6 inches on both sides. Heater must be kept cleanof excessive lint, dirt and debris (See Maintenance Instructions).14.Use this heater only as described in this manual.
