Take the CAISSON meter out of the pouch.2. Open the battery holder and insert the batteries (2 x AA 1.5 Volt). Close the holder.3. Push the left button POWER ON. In the open air the meter will indicate a value of around0.3. When the display indicates "BATTERY LOW", the battery should he replaced.4. Place the front end of the meter in the middle of a level part (at least 10cm. square) of thematerial to be investigated.
