Tolearn more about this setting, readthe section titled “Child lock”.M+NM and N flash at the same timeif there has been no hot waterdrawn for some time. For hygienicreasons, set the temperature to90°C or Q and draw hot water (1 x).Extinguish M and N; the tempera-ture last set lights up.Using the applianceGeneralWith this appliance, you can filter water anddispense it at room temperature or heatedto specific temperatures.If you have questions regarding the filtercartridge, contact the BRITA ConsumerService at 0844 742 4800 (toll-free).Note: The appliance is checked beforedelivery, which means there may be someisolated drops of water found. These dropsof water are harmless, simply remove witha cloth.Setting up the applianceBefore you use the appliance for the firsttime, do the following:► Remove film.► Unroll or push in the right amount ofcable from the cable compartment andplug the cable into a power outlet.► Remove the water tank and clean itthoroughly under running water.► Insert the filter cartridge as described inthe section titled “ BRITA MAXTRA waterfilter system”.► Fill the water tank up to the max markwith fresh, cold water. Use only non-carbonated drinking water.► Replace the water tank and push it firmlydownward into place.► Set the on/off switch to on. All displayitems will light up briefly, and then the90°C icon stays lit.► Place a glass or cup holding at least150 ml on the cup stand under the wateroutlet.► Press the start/stop button to dispenseone portion of water to rinse theappliance.Note: Before using the appliance for thefirst time or after a long period of non-use,do not drink the first two glasses of water.The machine is now ready to use.Dispensing water► Set the cup stand to the appropriateheight for the cup or glass.► Place the cup or glass under the wateroutlet.► Press the temp. set button to select thedesired temperature.► Press the start/stop button. Thewater will dispense from the outlet. Theselected temperature flashes while thewater is dispensed.Height adjustmentThe adjustable cup stand lets you adjustthe distance between your cup or glass andthe water outlet. The lowest setting is suit-able for taller glasses and cups. For smallercups or soup cups you can insert the cupstand into one of the upper openings.Important: Don´t use the appliance withoutthe cup stand. |
