This will ensure that children do notplay with the glue gun.f Children or persons that, owing to their physical, sen-sory or mental limitations or to their lack of experienceor knowledge, are not capable of securely operatingthe glue gun, may only use this glue gun under supervi-sion or after having been instructed by a responsibleperson. Otherwise, there is danger of operating errors andinjuries.f Before each use of the unit, check the glue gun, cableand plug. If damage is detected, do not use the gluegun. Never open the glue gun yourself, and have re-pairs carried out only by a qualified repair person usingonly identical replacement parts. Damaged glue guns,cables and plugs increase the risk of an electric shock.f Do not leave the switched on glue gun unattended.f Keep the glue gun away from rain or moisture. The pen-etration of water into the glue gun increases the risk of anelectric shock.f When operating the glue gun in damp environments isunavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD). Theuse of a residual current device (RCD) reduces the risk ofan electric shock.f Do not touch the hot nozzle. Danger of burns.f The mains plug of the glue gun must match the socketoutlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Unmodifiedplugs and matching outlets will reduce the risk of electricshock.f Do not misuse the cord to carry the glue gun, hang it up,or for pulling the plug out of the outlet. Keep the cordaway from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Dam-aged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.f Have your glue gun repaired only through a qualifiedrepair person and only using original replacementparts. This will ensure that the safety of the product ismaintained.f After use, place down the glue gun in a safe manner andallow it to cool down completely before packing itaway. The hot nozzle can cause damage and/or burns.f Do not use the cable for pulling the plug out of the sock-et outlet. Keep the cable away from heat or oil. Damagedor entangled cables increase the risk of an electric shock.Products sold in GB only: Your product is fitted with anBS 1363/A approved electric plug with internal fuse (ASTAapproved to BS 1362).If the plug is not suitable for your socket outlets, it should becut off and an appropriate plug fitted in its place by an author-ised customer service agent.
