InstallationHeat Radiator 4500 – 6720883002 (2019/10)143 Installation3.1 Notices regarding installationThis appliance was developed for installation in living spaces.▶ Observe the enclosed installation instructions.▶ Have the appliance installed by the contractor.▶ Observe the standards and regulations of the specific country duringinstallation.▶ Make sure that the appliance is not installed in a location wheredraughts occur. Draughts can adversely affect the control unit.▶ Install the appliance so as to avoid a build up of heat.▶ Do not install objects (e.g. shelves, cupboards) above the radiator.▶ Unless they can be constantly supervised, children under the age of3 must be kept away from the appliance.▶ Make sure that the lowest heating rail is at least 600 mm above thefloor to avoid injury to very small children.▶ Only establish the electrical connection using a plug and socket.3.2 Minimum clearances▶ Comply with protection zones and minimum clearances according toIEC 60364-7-701 and the regulations of the specific country( Chapter 9.2, page 20).3.3 Connection▶ Connect appliance via a grounded electrical socket.The voltage values of the electrical connection (socket) must correspondto the specifications ( Chapter 9.3, page 21) and the connection mustbe equipped with a residual current protective device ≤ 30 mA.▶ Do not use a multiple socket outlet or extension.▶ Do not use controlled interrupting devices (e.g. timers).4 Operating the appliance4.1 Safety instructions regarding operationH Risk of overheating▶ Do not climb on the radiator or cover it permanentlyor completely.▶ Ensure that the heat transfer from the radiator isunhindered.H Risk of injury from hot surfaces!Hot surfaces can inflict injuries if they come intocontact with the skin.▶ Do not touch hot surfaces.▶ Unless supervised, keep children well away fromthe appliance when it is hot.H Material damage due to covered surfaces!If the surfaces of the radiator are directly covered thisprevents heat transfer to the room.Materials (e.g. hand towels, clothing) can fade, losecolour or assume the colour of the radiator.▶ Hang materials in front of the radiator using suitablehooks or holding fixtures.H Danger to life from electric shock!Touching a defective product or connecting lead mayresult in electric shock.▶ Do not open the product.▶ Avoid carrying out any interventions.▶ Stop using the product and disconnect it from themains power supply.▶ Have the product repaired by the contractor.-or-▶ Dispose of the product properly.
