Press the 0 button.‚ƒ:‹‹ œ appears in the display and the indicator lampabove the 0 button lights up.2. Set the clock using the rotary selector.3. Press the 0 button again.The current time is set.Hiding the clockPress the 0 button and then press Stop.The display is blank.Resetting the clockPress the 0 button."12:00" appears in the display. Make settings as detailed inpoints 2 and 3.Change the clock, e.g. from summer to winter timeSet as described in point 1 to 3.The microwaveMicrowaves are converted to heat in foodstuffs. You will findinformation about ovenware and how to set the microwave.Note: In the Tested for you in our cooking studio section, youwill find examples for defrosting, heating and cooking with themicrowave oven.Try out the microwave straight away. You could heat up a cupof water for your tea, for example.Use a large cup without any decorative gold or silver trim andplace a teaspoon in it. Place the cup containing the water onthe turntable.1. Press 800 W.2. Set 1:30 minutes using the rotary knob.3. Press the "start" button.After 1 minute 30 seconds, a signal sounds. The water is hot.As you are drinking your tea, please take time to read again thesafety information that can be found at the front of theinstruction manual. This is very important.Notes regarding ovenwareSuitable ovenwareSuitable dishes are heat-resistant ovenware made of glass,glass ceramic, porcelain, ceramic or heat-resistant plastic.These materials allow microwaves to pass through.You can also use serving dishes. This saves you having totransfer food from one dish to another. You should only useovenware with decorative gold or silver trim if the manufacturerguarantees that they are suitable for use in microwaves.Unsuitable ovenwareMetal ovenware is unsuitable. Metal does not allow microwavesto pass through. Food in covered metal containers will remaincold.Caution!Creation of sparks: metal – e.g. a spoon in a glass – must bekept at least 2 cm from the oven walls and the inside of thedoor. Sparks could destroy the glass on the inside of the door.Ovenware testDo not switch on the microwave unless there is food inside. Thefollowing ovenware test is the only exception to this rule.Perform the following test if you are unsure whether yourovenware is suitable for use in the microwave:1. Heat the empty ovenware at maximum power for ½ to1 minute.2.
