Use of any other battery packs may create arisk of injury and fire.f When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from oth-er metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails,screws or other small metal objects, that can make aconnection from one terminal to another. Shorting thebattery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.f Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected fromthe battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally oc-curs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, addition-ally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the batterymay cause irritation or burns.Servicef Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair per-son using only identical replacement parts. This will en-sure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.Safety Warnings for Sabre Sawsf Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, whenperforming an operation where the cutting accessorymay contact hidden wiring. Cutting accessory contactinga “live” wire may make exposed metal parts of the powertool “live” and could give the operator an electric shock.f Keep hands away from the sawing range. Do not reachunder the workpiece. Contact with the saw blade can leadto injuries.f Apply the machine to the workpiece only whenswitched on. Otherwise there is danger of kickback whenthe cutting tool jams in the workpiece.f When sawing, the adjustable footplate 2 must alwaysfaces against the workpiece. The saw blade can becomewedged and lead to loss of control over the machine.f When the cut is completed, switch off the machine andthen pull the saw blade out of the cut only after it hascome to a standstill. In this manner you can avoid kick-back and can place down the machine securely.f Use only undamaged saw blades that are in perfect con-dition. Bent or dull saw blades can break, negatively influ-ence the cut, or lead to kickback.f Do not brake the saw blade to a stop by applying sidepressure after switching off. The saw blade can be dam-aged, break or cause kickback.f Clamp material well. Do not support the workpiecewith your hand or foot. Do not touch objects or the floorwith the the saw running. Danger of kickback.f Use appropriate detectors to determine if utility linesare hidden in the work area or call the local utility com-pany for assistance. Contact with electric lines can leadto fire and electric shock. Damaging a gas line can lead toexplosion. Penetrating a water line causes property dam-age.f When working with the machine, always hold it firmlywith both hands and provide for a secure stance. Thepower tool is guided more secure with both hands.f Secure the workpiece. A workpiece clamped with clamp-ing devices or in a vice is held more secure than by hand.f Always wait until the machine has come to a completestop before placing it down. The tool insert can jam andlead to loss of control over the power tool.f Do not open the battery. Danger of short-circuiting.Protect the battery against heat, e. g., againstcontinuous intense sunlight, fire, water, and mois-ture. Danger of explosion.f In case of damage and improper use of the battery, va-pours may be emitted. Provide for fresh air and seekmedical help in case of complaints. The vapours can irri-tate the respiratory system.f Use the battery only in conjunction with your Boschpower tool. This measure alone protects the batteryagainst dangerous overload.f Use only original Bosch batteries with the voltage list-ed on the nameplate of your power tool. When using oth-er batteries, e. g. imitations, reconditioned batteries orother brands, there is danger of injury as well as propertydamage through exploding batteries.Product Description and Specifica-tionsRead all safety warnings and all instruc-tions.
