English | 17Bosch Power Tools 1 609 92A 009 | (7.1.13)Before attaching the sanding sheet 15, free the Velcro back-ing of the sanding plate 14 from any debris by tapping againstit in order to enable optimum adhesion.Position the sanding sheet 15 flush alongside one edge of thesanding plate 14, then lay the sanding sheet onto the sandingplate and press firmly.To ensure optimum dust extraction, pay attention that thepunched holes in the sanding sheet match with the holes inthe sanding plate.To remove the sanding sheet 15, grasp it at one of the tips andpull it off from the sanding plate 14.You can use all sanding sheets, fleece pads/polishing clothpads of the Delta 93 mm series of Bosch accessory program.Sanding accessories, such as fleece pads/polishing clothpads, are attached to the sanding plate in the same manner.Selecting the Sanding SheetDepending on the material to be worked and the required rate of material removal, different sanding sheets are available:Dust/Chip Extraction Dusts from materials such as lead-containing coatings,some wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful toone’s health. Touching or breathing-in the dusts can causeallergic reactions and/or lead to respiratory infections ofthe user or bystanders.Certain dusts, such as oak or beech dust, are consideredas carcinogenic, especially in connection with wood-treat-ment additives (chromate, wood preservative). Materialscontaining asbestos may only be worked by specialists.– As far as possible, use a dust extraction system suitablefor the material.– Provide for good ventilation of the working place.– It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class respirator.Observe the relevant regulations in your country for thematerials to be worked. Prevent dust accumulation at the workplace. Dusts caneasily ignite.Connecting the Dust Extraction (see figure A)For sanding, always connect the dust extraction.Remove the application tool/accessory when mounting thedust extraction 19 (accessory).If required, assemble the parts of the dust extraction 19 asshown in the figure. Position the assembled dust extractiononto the machine via the tool holder 8. Turn the dust extrac-tion in such a manner that the cams of the dust extraction en-gage into the corresponding recesses on the housing. Fastenthe dust extraction to the machine with the retaining clip 17as shown in the figure.Pay attention that the felt ring 16 is undamaged and facestightly against the sanding plate 14. Replace a damage feltring immediately.Depending on machine version, place a vacuum hose 20 (ac-cessory) either directly onto the vacuum connection 18 or cutoff the old hose end, screw the extraction adapter 21 (acces-sory) onto the hose end and then place it directly onto thevacuum connection 18. Connect the vacuum hose 20 with avacuum cleaner (accessory).
