These materials areconsidered carcinogenic.Inform yourself about the valid regulations/laws for yourcountry concerning the handling of materials that are haz-ardous to one’s health.Use the vacuum cleaner only when youfully understand and can perform allfunctions without limitation, or have received appropri-ate instructions. A thorough introduction reduces operatingerrors and injuries.The vacuum cleaner is suitable only forvacuuming dry materials. The penetra-tion of liquids increases the risk of an electric shock.The vacuum cleaner may only beused and stored indoors. The pene-tration of rain or moisture into the vacuum cleaner lid increas-es the risk of an electric shock.Do not vacuum hot or burning dusts,and in rooms with an explosion hazard.Dusts can ignite or explode. Remove the battery before cleaning or performingmaintenance on the vacuum cleaner, making tool ad-justments, changing accessories or storing the vacuumcleaner. This safety measure prevents the vacuum cleanerfrom being started accidentally. Provide for good ventilation at the working place. Have the vacuum cleaner repaired only through quali-fied specialists and only using original spare parts. Thisensures that the safety of your vacuum cleaner is main-tained. Do not clean the vacuum cleaner with a water jet point-ed directly at it. The penetration of water into the vacuumcleaner lid increases the risk of an electric shock. The intake port and ventilation slots must not be shut,covered or clogged. This is to ensure proper operation ofthe motor. Do not vacuum any sharp-edged objects such as brokenglass, nails, stones, needles or razor blades. This is toensure that the filter is not damaged. Do not open the battery. Danger of short-circuiting.Protect the battery against heat, e. g., againstcontinuous intense sunlight, fire, water, and mois-ture. Danger of explosion. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from oth-er metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails,screws, or other small metal objects that can make aconnection from one terminal to another. Shorting thebattery terminals together may cause burns or a fire. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected fromthe battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally oc-curs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, addition-ally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the batterymay cause irritations or burns. In case of damage and improper use of the battery, va-pours may be emitted. Ventilate the area and seekmedical help in case of complaints. The vapours can irri-tate the respiratory system. Recharge only with the charger specified by the manu-facturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of batterypack may create a risk of fire when used with another bat-tery pack. Use the battery only together with your Bosch product.This is the only way to protect the battery against danger-ous overload. The battery pack can be damaged by pointed objectssuch as nails or screwdrivers or by force applied exter-nally.
