English–133 609 929 A44 • (05.09) TSetting the TorqueThe tightening torque is dependent on the spring pre-tension of the switch-off coupling. The switch-offcoupling responds in right as well as left rotationwhen the torque setting is reached.For setting the individual tightening torques, use onlythe adjustment tool 27 provided.Push the slide 7 on the power tool completely back.Insert the Allen key 28 into the tool holder 1 and turnslowly until a small indentation (adjustment disc 29for the setting of the torque) is visible in the power toolopening on the coupling. Insert the adjustment tool27 into this indentation and turn it.For setting the individual tightening torques, use onlythe adjustment tool 27 provided.Push the slide 7 on the power tool completely back.Insert the adjustment tool 27 into the tool holder 2and turn slowly until a small indentation (adjustmentdisc 29 for the setting of the torque) is visible in thepower tool opening on the coupling. Insert the ad-justment tool 27 into this indentation and turn it.Turning in the clockwise direction results in a highertorque, in the counterclockwise direction, a lowertorque.Note: The required adjustment is dependent on thetype of threaded connection and can be best deter-mined by practical trials. Check the trial screwingswith a torque wrench.Set the torque only in the specified per-formance range, otherwise the shut-offcoupling will no longer respond.Marking the Torque SettingTo identify individually adjusted tightening torques,the marking ring 19 can be replaced with a markingring of another color.
