Cleaning and maintenance51Air 6000 – 6721848696 (2022/11)The air quality sensor scans the air continuously to detect the ultra-fineparticles. This information is reported continuously in both the digitaldisplay and the light ring, providing real-time PM2.5 feedback.Table 18 Air quality light colors and PM2.5 levelsTVOCTVOC stands for total volatile organic compounds. A VOC is an organicsubstance which can be vaporized by small changes in temperature orpressure, and are a category of air pollutant. Exposure to high levels ofVOCs can cause for example, eye, nose and throat irritation orheadaches. The display ranging from L1 to L4 shows the level change ofpotentialharmful gases detected. L1 indicates the best air quality.Table 19 TVOC light colors and levelsNoteThe display only shows the TVOC levels and has no impact on the lightring colors that are showed.4.2 Switching ON/OFF▶ Insert the plug of the air purifier in the power socket.▶ Touch to switch on the air purifier.▶ Press the button to switch off the air purifier.Note• For optimum purification performance, close the doors and thewindows.• Keep curtains away from the air inlet or air outlet.• The air purifier will operate in Auto mode by default, with PM2.5 andTVOC displayed on the center of the screen.4.3 Changing the mode settingAuto-mode• In Auto-mode, the air quality is registered in real-time, and theappliance automatically adjusts the fan speed in accordance to theambient air quality.Manual mode• In Manual mode, it is possible to set the fan speed (between Speed 1and Speed 5). Press the button to change to the desired speed.Quiet mode• In Quiet mode, the air purifier operates quietly at a low speed and allthe lights are dimmed.Timer mode• In Timer mode, it is possible to set the timer (between 1 hour and 12hours) for the equipment shut off.5 Cleaning and maintenance5.1 Cleaning the housing of the air purifierRegularly clean the inside and outside of the housing of the air purifier toprevent dust from collecting.▶ Wipe the surface with a damp cloth.▶ Use a soft, dry cloth to clean both the interior and exterior of the airpurifier and the air outlet.5.2 Cleaning the air quality sensorNote:• If the air purifier is used in a dusty environment, it may need to becleaned more often.• If the humidity level in the room is very high, condensation maydevelop on the air quality sensor and the air quality light may indicatea poorer quality even though the air quality is good.If this occurs, clean the air quality sensor.Clean the air quality sensor every month for optimal functioning of theappliance.Fig. 56 Cleaning the air quality sensorAir quality light color Air quality level PM2.5 levelBlue Good 0-12Purple Ok 13-35Orange Poor 36-55Red Bad >56Level TVOC Level mg/m3 Level of concernL1 <0.3 mg/m3 LowL2 0.3 to 0.5 mg/m 3 AcceptableL3 0.5 to 1 mg/m3 MarginalL4 1 to 3 mg/m3 High3.4.2.1.0010043093-001
