This four conventional point panelcan expand to 255 input points. It supports up to twentytwo-wire detectors per on-board conventional point, or anynumber of four-wire detectors (depending on availablepower). Two Notification Appliance Circuits (NACs) provideup to 4 A of 24 V power to operate horns, strobes, bells andother notification appliances. The DS9431 MultiplexExpansion Module (pre-installed) enhances the DS9400M’sconventional system features by adding addressable pointcapability, increasing the number of relay outputs andallowing for more system users.FunctionsEasy user interfaceNine labeled function keys allow the user to easily silencebells, sirens, reset smoke detectors, or view history events.Menu driven keypad programming allows for customizing ofthe control panel.Keypad programmableThe system is completely keypad programmable, thuseliminating the need for an expensive hand-heldprogrammer.Initiating circuitsAll on-board conventional input points will work with two-wire or four-wire smoke detectors. Twenty detectors (two-wire) maximum per zone.Multiplex expansion technologyThe DS9431 Multiplex Expansion Module (pre-installed)enhances the DS9400M conventional system features byexpanding the base system to 255 total points, increasingthe number of relay outputs to 58 and adding an additional400 events to the history buffer for a total of 500 non-volatile events. The DS9431 also allows for up to 100system users on the DS9400M.Built-In and remote alpha keypad supportThe keypad built in to the control panel and the DS9447remote LCD keypad are alphanumeric keypads that providea two-line, 16‑character (per line) LCD display. Text is freelyprogrammable for zone descriptions. Up to four DS9447remote LCD keypads are allowed per system.Personal ID Numbers (PINs)The system supports up to 100 Personal ID Numbers (PINs),which are four digits in length. The PINs may contain anycombination of digits. PINs may be programmed with fourdifferent levels of authority.
