For best performance, plug in the unitapproximately 2 hours before loading to give it time to warm up or cool down.Always try to fill your unit with pre-chilled or pre-heated food or beverages, as theunit will always perform at its best when you do this. Generally, your unit will cooldown to as much as 22.2°C (40°F) below the ambient temperature. For example,in a room, where a constant temperature of 26.6°C (80°F) is sustained, the unit willcool to approximately 22.2°C (40°F). To ensure optimum performance, alwayskeep the unit out of direct sunlight when running on the cold cycle. When the unitis running on the warm cycle, it will warm to approximately 48.8°C (120°F). Oncold days, the unit will need more time to reach the maximum warm temperature.To promote your unit’s cooling capacity on warm days, try reusable frozen icepackets. These are particularly helpful in keeping your unit cold while unplugged.TheBlack & Decker® Thermo-Electric Travel Cooler & Warmer can beused with most food and beverages, either cold or hot. Use with standardhousehold containers or ready-to-use food and drink packaging.
