Conditioning the skillet pan1. Before using your skillet for the first time, make sure variabletemperature control is removed and wash all parts as instructed in theCare and Cleaning section.2. To preserve the nonstick coating, spread a light coating of cooking oilover the inside surfaces. Remove excess oil with a cloth or paper towel.You will not have to condition the coating again.ReADy tO USe yOUR Skillet1. Insert the probe firmly into the socket (A).important: Make sure the control is securelyinserted.2. Plug unit into an AC electric outlet.3.Turn temperature control to desired setting oraccording to your recipe. The indicator light comes on. The desiredtemperature should line up with the indicator light. When the selectedtemperature is reached, the light goes off. during cooking the light willblink on and off, indicating the temperature is maintained.4. When finished cooking, set temperature control to WARM to keep foodat serving temperature.5. To take the skillet to the table for serving,remove the variable temperature control bypressing the quick-release lever and pulling outthe control (B).Caution: Be careful when removing the probe asthe skillet might stay warm for a while.6. Use plastic, rubber or wood utensils whencooking and serving. If using metal utensils, becareful not to scrape the nonstick finish.USiNG tHe PAN-tilt leGThe pan-tilt leg raises one side of the skillet sothat oils, fats or other liquids move away from thefood while cooking or when serving.To use, pull the leg straight down so that it standsunder the cool-touch handle (C).Caution: to avoid burns:• If using for cooking, always tilt the skillet before you start cooking.• Tilt lid away while lifting.• If using for serving, always use a pot holder or oven mitt.BCACare and CleaningThis product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualifiedservice personnel.tO CleAN:1. Unplug the cord and let unit cool completely.2. Make sure the variable temperature control is removed.3. Wash the pan and lid with warm sudsy water. The lid can also be washedin the dishwasher, top rack only.4. If washing by hand, use a sponge or nylon scouring pad with liquiddetergent. do not use any abrasive cleaners or metal pads as they candamage the nonstick coating.5. Rinse and dry.6. Wipe the outside of the base with a damp cloth. do not immerse in wateror other liquid.7.
