While filling make sure motor is in the off position - (See figure 1),hold spreader over a paved surface.Use the fill line for maximum load (See figure 4)2. Adjust flow rate settings. (See figure 3)Your product instructions will indicate lbs. per sq. ft. needed (for light ratessuch as 1lb to 2lbs per 1,000 sq.ft. reduce flow setting, for higher rates suchas 5lbs. to 6lbs per 1,000 sq. ft. increase flow setting).3. Set motor speed to desired flow coverage. Cover a small area to test ratesettings, adjust settings if necessary. (See figures 5A and 5B)4. Slide trigger lock backwards and pull trigger while walking at a normal speedover the area that is being covered. Trigger activates flow door and spreaderwheel simultaneously. (See figures 6A and 6B)For most ergonomically recommended position please see figure 7.5. Media is dispersed over the spread range angle indicated in figure 4.6.
