- 27 -5. Installation and operation5.1 InstallationPositioning• Unpack the device and remove all packing material. Remove the protective film fromthe device.CAUTION! Never remove the rating plate and any warning signs from the device.• Place the device on top of an even, stable, dry, and water-resistant surface whichsupports the weight of the device and is not heat sensitive.• Never place the device on a flammable surface.• If the device is placed near walls or furniture, they must be resistant to a temperatureof 60 °C. If the wall contains flammable materials, they must be covered with a heat-absorbent layer.• Ensure there is sufficient air circulation around the device. Leave 10 cm at the sidesand 30 cm from the ceiling or cupboards. Leave sufficient space for personneloperating the device.• Place the device under a fume hood to ensure all fumes are removed when thedevice is in operation.• Do not locate the device in places with high ambient humidity. Excessive moisturecan damage the device.• Never place the device in humid or wet areas.• Place the device so that the plug is easily accessible and can be quickly removedfrom its socket in case of necessity.ConnectionDANGER! Electric shock hazard!The device can cause injuries due to improper installation!Before installation and connecting the local power grid specification shouldbe compared with that of the device (see rating plate). Connect the device onlyin case of compliance!Connect the device only to properly installed single socket withprotective terminal.• The electrical circuit in the socket must be secured to at least 16A. Only connect thedevice directly to the wall socket; do not use any extension cords or power strips.
