Slide buckle on band as shown,bringing end of band around object tobe clamped and again through buckle.NOTE: The tension screw threadshould be lubricated regularly.2. Continue band around object oncemore and again through buckle.Double banding develops a great dealmore radial compression than singlebanding. Bend end of band underbuckle.4. Place finger on BAND-IT Band atbuckle bridge while tensioning with toolhandle. When you feel BAND-IT Bandstop moving through buckle as you areturning handle, maximum pressure isbeing exerted by the BAND-IT Bandaround object being clamped. Stopturning handle.5. Roll tool over buckle, backing offwith tension handle throughout entirerolling operation. Failure to back offwith tension handle through-out entirecourse of roll-over may result inbreaking of band. There is no loss oftension as band released is used up inthe bend.6. Pull cutting handle to cut the band.7. Remove tool,holding stub of banddown with thumb.8. Hammer downbuckle ears to holdband stub in placeto complete BAND-IT clamp.3. Place band in opening of tool noseand gripper block. Move into slot as faras possible, to avoid buckle sliding intotool nose. Tighten band clamp byturning the tension handle clockwisewhile holding band gripper tight againstband. NOTE: The spring load of theband gripper is not intended to secureand prevent band from slipping duringtension process.
