3-53.3 Troubleshooting (FAQ)Problem Possible SolutionPower LED is not ON • Press the button to check if the monitoris in the ON mode.• Check if the power cord is properlyconnected to the monitor and the poweroutlet.The power LED lights amber and there is noscreen image• Check if the monitor and the computer arein the ON mode.• Make sure the signal cable is properlyconnected the monitor and the computer.• Inspect the signal cable and make surenone of the pins are bent.• Connect the computer with anotheravailable monitor to check if the computeris properly working.Screen image is too light or dark • Adjust the Contrast and Brightness settingsvia OSD.Screen image is not centered or sizedproperly• Press the button for two seconds toautomatically adjust the image.• Adjust the H-Position or V-Position settingsvia OSD.Screen image bounces or a wave pattern ispresent in the image• Make sure the signal cable is properlyconnected to the monitor and the computer.• Move electrical devices that may causeelectrical interference.Screen image has color defects (white doesnot look white)• Inspect the signal cable and make sure thatnone of the pins are bent.• Perform Reset via OSD.• Adjust the R/G/B color settings or select theColor Temperature via OSD.Screen image is blurry or fuzzy • Press the button for two seconds toautomatically adjust the image (for VGAmode only).• Adjust the Phase and Clock settings viaOSD.No sound or sound is low • Ensure that the audio cable is properlyconnected to the monitor and the computer• Adjust the volume settings of both yourmonitor and computer.• Ensure that the computer sound card driveris properly installed and activated.AAWebcam is not working • Make sure that you have connected theUSB 2.0 cable securely to both the LCDmonitor and your computer.• Make sure that you use the MicrosoftWindows Vista/XP Service Pack 2operation systems.®®ASUS LCD Monitor VK266/VW266 Series
