2-22 Chapter 2When the device is OFFIf a low battery status occurs while the device is in standby or OFF,SmartKeeper wakes up the system to backup the system status.To perform the backup process:1. SmartKeeper checks if a CF memory card is ready in the slot.2. If found, SmartKeeper backs up the current system status toASUSBKUP.SAV file in the CF memory card. When the backupprocess is complete, the system automatically goes back to sleep(OFF).If a CF memory card is not ready in the slot, the device goes backto sleep without performing the backup process.When you turn on the device, either one of the following messages isflashed on the screen.If automatic backup is successfulThe system detected a batterypower low status. The systemstatus was automatically backedup to ASUSBKUP.SAV file in theCF memory card.The system detected a batterypower low status and tried toback up the system status at2003/04/08, 10:21:27 AM. Backupfailed! CF memory card not ready.If automatic backup failed becausea CF memory card is not ready inthe slotThe system detected a batterypower low status and tried toback up the system status at2003/04/08, 10:21:27 AM.
