Sometimes, your ISPmay, upon your request, order an ISDN BRI line for you when you apply for an ISDNInternet access account.For the US you will also need to obtain from your ISDN telephone company detailsconcerning the ISDN central switch type and SPID (Service Profile Identifier) number.What is SPID?SPID stands for Service Profile ID. The SPID is applicable to the USA only. SPIDsare a series of numbers that informs the central office switch (your local telephoneexchange) which services and features to provide to the ISDN device.
