30Before you begin using your devicefor video conferencingSetup requirementsRoom size and setupYour Meet hardware kit system is designed for a conference room of up to20 persons. We recommend a room that contains either a long table withthe monitor at one end (optimal), or a round table. We do not recommendusing Meeting Computer System with rooms set up in a classroom style.The room must have the following:• Live Ethernet port (for wired network connections)• AC power outletNetwork requirementsYour Meeting Computer System device works with both wired and wirelessnetworks. The network requirements are the same as those for Hangouts. Inaddition, we recommend a minimum bandwidth of 1 mbps or 2 mbps (up/down) for group video conferencing.NOTE: Although you can use your Meeting Computer System device overa wireless network connection, we recommend using a wired networkconnection for best sound and video quality.Space requirements• For the Meeting Computer System device, you must have a 40 mmx 250 mm x 180 mm / 1.57 in. x 9.84 in. x 7.08 in. space available tomount the device or place it on a table.• For the speakermic, you must have at least a 55 mm x 140 mm x 150mm / 2.17 in. x 5.51 in. x 5.91 in. (H x W x L) space available to placethe unit on the table or mount it on the wall.• The universal hook mount on the camera fits the width on moststandard monitors. |
