YEStation MAX IIThe YEStation MAX II is the high performance member of theAffirmative family of thin clients featuring wired, wireless, fixed andportable devices for midrange budgets. All MAX II models supportPC peripherals such as printers, modems, monitors, keyboards, wirelessadaptors and pointing devices. Windows models include a localInternet Explorer 6 browser, while Linux models include a Mozillabrowser. Affirmative thin clients are ideal terminal replacements andless costly, more reliable alternatives to PCs. There are no movingparts, giving the MAX II an impressive MTBF of well over 12 years.The YEStation MAX II thrives in harsh environments where dust andairborne contaminants are a problem for PCs, but they are equally athome in office environments where attractive styling and silentoperation are important. The MAX II’s exceptionally small footprint,with its vertical orientation, frees up valuable desk or bench space.The MAX II’s standard colors are black and silver, matching the currenttrend toward black monitors. Affirmative also offers matching inputdevices including mice and specialty keyboards with dual color-codedkey caps that enhance user productivity when switching between5250/3270 legacy applications and Windows/browser applications.Why thin clients?Thin clients (TC) are an alternative to PCs and workstations widelydeployed in business operations. They are somewhat less expensiveto buy, but enormously less expensive to maintain.
