11 PCI-1730U/1733/1734 User ManualChapter 2 Hardware Installation2.3 Driver InstallationWe recommend you to install the driver before you install the PCI-1730U/1733/1734card into your system, since this will guarantee a smooth installation process.The Advantech Device Driver Setup program for the PCI-1730U/1733/ 1734 card isincluded on the companion CD-ROM that is shipped with your DA&C card package.Please follow the steps below to install the driver software:1. Insert the companion CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.2. The Setup program will be launched automatically if you have the autoplay func-tion enabled on your system. When the Setup Program is launched, you’ll seethe following Setup Screen.Figure 2.1 Advantech Automation Software Setup Screen3. Select the Individual Drivers option.4. Select the specific device then just follow the installation instructions step bystep to complete your device driver installation and setup.Note! If the autoplay function is not enabled on your computer, use WindowsExplorer or Windows Run command to execute SETUP.EXE on thecompanion CD-ROM.
