8Connecting cables to Junction Box.1. Locate a position for the junction box beneath the dashboard on thepassenger's side of the vehicle or on the center side post between thefront seats.It must be protected from dirt and moisture and must be affordedadequate space for cooling. There must be sufficient space to allow forconnection of all cabling.2. DO NOT mount the junction box at this stage. First connect theMicrophone, PTT, Speaker, Power cable and Cradle Cable to theircorresponding connections on the Junction Box as indicated in Diagrambelow.Diagram 63. After connecting the power cable's connector to the Junction Box,cut in half the red wire attached to the fuse housing supplied. Cut thelong red power lead to the desired length and connect (crimp) it to theone end of the wire to the fuse housing.4. Connect the other end of the wire from the red fuse housing to thepositive (+) side of the ignition. The fuse housing can be secured in placeby using a plastic tie or screw through the hole in the fuse's plastichousing5. Mount the junction box in place using the 2 mounting screws supplied.Inserting and removing the handset from cradle1. Remove the rubber protective cover from the connector receptaclecovering the micro USB connector on the left side of the handset(handset facing you) and align the micro USB connector at the end on theone cable from the back of the cradle and insert the connector into thehandset with the cable facing DOWN.2. Remove the rubber protective cover from the connector receptaclecovering the audio connector on the right side of the handset (handsetfacing you) and align the pin connector at the end of the other cable fromthe back of the cradle and insert the connector into the handset with thecable facing UP.
