Your Adaptec Storage Enclosure includes two APCs,located on the rear of the enclosure, as shown in Figure 4-1.Figure 4-1 APC ModuleYour Adaptec Storage Enclosure requires both APCs to be runningfor proper operation and cooling. However, it can run with a singleAPC for a brief time period, long enough to replace the other APCin the event of a failure.An APC module failure can be caused by failures of the powersupply or one or more of the cooling fans. Other types of failuresare also possible.
