Each channel is automaticallyconfigured by the system. NWay auto-negotiation allows the adapter to detect thenetwork’s maximum line speed and adjustchannels accordingly. For maximum flexi-bility, this feature is compatible with all10 Mbps and 100 Mbps devices, includingthose without NWay line speed negotiation.Duralink™ software enabledAdaptec’s 10/100 PCI adapters are enabledto work with Adaptec’s innovative Duralinksuite of software. This suite includesDuralink Failover and Duralink PortAggregation. Duralink Failover establishesan FDDI-like port resiliency with bothactive and hot-standby links. In the eventthat the active link fails, the standby linkis automatically activated to preserve thenetwork link and maintain the server’savailability. Duralink Manager, includedwith the adapter, is a data compilation toolthat simplifies adapter monitoring andconfiguration.
