5SETUPSet the A-B-C SwitchThe A-B-C switch is located insidethe battery compartment. It canbe set to A, B or C. However,you must select the same letterchoices for both the sensor andthe display in order for the unitsto synchronize.Install or Replace BatteriesAcuRite recommends high qualityalkaline or lithium batteries forthe best product performance.Heavy duty or rechargeablebatteries are not recommended.The sensor requires lithiumbatteries in low temperatureconditions. Cold temperaturescan cause alkaline batteriesto function improperly. Uselithium batteries in the sensor fortemperatures below -4ºF / -20ºC.1. Slide off the batterycompartment cover. Takenote of the A-B-C switchsetting inside the batterycompartment.2. Insert 2 x AA batteries intothe battery compartment, asshown. Follow the polarity(+/-) diagram in the batterycompartment.3.
