Section 44-4Diode ChecksTests diodes and rectifiers for proper operation.1) Set RANGE switch to HIGH.2) Set FUNCTION switch to OHMS.3) Connect TEST leads as shown in Figure 1.( YELLOW to anode — BLACK to cathode)4) The bottom TEST light should be ON. If adifferent TEST light is on or all lights are off, thediode is defective.5) Reverse test lead connections as shown inFigure 2.( YELLOW to cathode — BLACK to anode)6) The top TEST light should be ON. If a differentTEST light is on or all lights are off, the diode isdefective.Note: Always make sure all connections are good.
