15The Home screenRecent appsTo access recently opened apps while working on anotherprocess, press and hold the home button.The Home screenAfter rebooting, your smartphone will display the homescreen. This screen gives you quick, icon-based accessto many of the frequently used features of yoursmartphone.At the bottom of the screen is the application dock whichdisplays default applications. Tap an icon to open theapplication. Tap to open the applications menu.The extended Home screenThe Home screen extends to either side of the screen,giving you more room to add icons, widgets or features.To view the extended screen, slide your finger to the leftor right.Adding or removing iconsYou can set icons for installed applications on the Home screen. Tap and hold anicon in the Applications menu to copy it to the Home screen. To remove an icon fromthe Home screen, tap and drag the icon from the Home screen to the trash tab thatappears at the bottom of the screen.
