22English BIOS SettingsThe BIOS Setup utility is a hardware configuration program built into yourcomputer's Basic Input/Output System (BIOS). Since most computers arealready properly configured and optimized, there is no need to run thisutility. However, if you encounter configuration problems and get the "RunSetup" message, you will need to run this utility.Note: To maintain optimal computer performance, it is recommendedthat you retain the default system configurations in the BIOS Setuputility. If you want to adjust these configurations, contact your dealer orqualified service technician for assistance.Entering SetupPower on the computer to start the system POST (Power On Self Test)process. While booting, press the Del key. The "Setup Utility" Main menuthen appears:Note: Choose Load Default Settings for best performance with lightsystem loading.The section at the bottom of the screen tells how to control the screen. Usethe arrow keys to move between items, ESC to exit, and F10 to save thechanges and exit. Another section at the bottom of the screen displays abrief description of the highlighted item. After selecting an item, press Enterto select it or enter a submenu.
