System activity refers to anyactivity involving one or more of the following devices: keyboard,touchpad/mouse, hard disk drive, optical drive, peripherals connectedto the computer, and video memory. If no activity is detected for aperiod of time (the settings are controlled in Windows PowerManagement), the computer turns off some, or all, of these devices inorder to conserve power.Your computer employs a power management scheme that supportsAdvanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI), enablingmaximum power conservation without compromising systemperformance. ACPI allows Windows to control the amount of powergiven to each device attached to the computer. In this way, Windowshandles all power-saving chores for your computer.
