12To calibrate in mg/l (ppm) mode:1. Calibrate 100% saturation per section 4.1.2. Rinse the probe well with deionizedrinse water or rinse solution. Wipe theoutside of the probe carefully (do nottouch the membrane).3. Dip the probe into a sample of knownoxygen concentration. Wait for thereading to stabilize. If the Readyindicator feature is enabled, it will appearwhen the reading is stable (see page 32).NOTE: The sample must continuously flowpast the membrane for accuratereadings. A stirrer can keep thesolution agitated; order a magneticstirrer on page 47.4. Press the MODE key to select themg/l (ppm) mode.See figure5. Press the CAL key. The CAL indicatorwill appear above the primary display. The primary display shows the currentvalue of the measurement and the sec-ondary display shows the temperature.See figure6. Press the s and t keys to adjustthe reading.7. Press the ENTER key. The meterautomatically calibrates to thevalue you entered and returnsto Measurement mode.See figure4.3AABCCBDissolved Oxygen calibration in mg/l (ppm) modeCalibrating the meter to 100 % in saturation mode will also calibrate the mg/l modeat the value in mg/l corresponding to 100% saturation. This should produceacceptable results in most applications. This meter also lets you make a calibration adjustment in mg/l (ppm) modewithout affecting your % saturation calibration. To select between mg/l and ppm units, see page 33.
