Configuring the CheetahAccess™ Wireless Gateway4-6Valid IP addresses consist of four numbers separated by periods. The first threefields are the network portion, and can be from 0–255, while the last field is the hostportion and can be from 1–254. However, remember not to include the gatewayaddress of the CheetahAccess Wireless Gateway in the client address pool.The Domain Name is optional, but this information may be specified so that it can bepassed to the client PCs.WAN ConfigurationSpecify the WAN connection type required by your Internet Service Provider, thenclick “More Configuration” to provide detailed configuration parameters for theselected connection type.Specify one of the first three options to configure a WAN connection through theRJ-45 port (i.e., a connection to an xDSL modem or Cable modem). Specify the“Dial-up on Demand” option to configure a WAN connection through the serial port(i.e., a connection to an ISDN TA or PSTN modem).Note: If WAN connections are configured for both the RJ-45 and serial port, the serialport will be used as a backup Internet connection if the primary RJ-45 WANconnection fails.
