Because these systems canproduce high levels of force, it is important that youare aware of the potential hazards associated with thesystem. Potential hazards may include pinch points,entrapment positions, lack of proper pedestrianaccess, blind spots for traffic visibility.It is the joint responsibility of the designer, purchaser,installer and end user to verify the system is properlyconfigured for its intended use. Be sure the installerhas instructed you on the proper operation of the gatesystem before use. Be sure the installer trains youabout the basic functions of the required reversingdevices associated with the gate system and how toproperly test them. Reversing devices may includereverse loops, sensing edges, photoelectric cells,inherent reverse detection, and/or other externaldevices.WARNING - To reduce the risk of injury or death:1. A moving gate can cause serious injury or death.Read & follow all installation manuals, referencemanuals, and warning label instructions.2. Vehicular gates are for vehicles only.Pedestrians must use a separate entrance. Keepall pedestrian traffic away from any vehiculargate. No one should cross the path of a movinggate.3. Never allow children to operate or play with gatecontrols. Never allow children to play in thearea of a gate system.4. Access control devices must be placed farenough from moving gates to prevent the userfrom coming in contact with the gate whileoperating the controls.5. All activating devices must be installed in a clearline-of-sight with the gate and its travel andmust be installed a minimum of 10 feet awayfrom the gate.6. Outdoor or easily accessible controls shall have asecurity feature to prevent unauthorized use.7. Mount all operating devices clearly out of reachof through gates.8. Loops and vehicle sensors are for vehicle useonly and do not offer any type of pedestrianprotection.9. DO NOT install this device unless allpotential hazards and pinch points havebeen eliminated.R ESTRICTIONS AND L IMITATIONS:Please read and follow all restrictions and understandall limitations. Do not install this product if it exceedsany limitation or does not abide to all guidelines orrestrictions.1. This device is intended for vehicular traffic only.Keep all pedestrian traffic including bicycles awayfrom any vehicular gate.2. Do not use this product with motorcycles unlessproper safety photo beams and safety edges areinstalled.3. This product is a wireless device and subject tooccasional communication failures. Thereforeproper safety photo beams and safety edges mustbe used in conjunction to the system.4. Detection distance and performance will varybased upon location of each application.5. Average detection distance from the sensor isapproximately 8ft wide x 4ft deep x 3-4ft high. Insome occasions the distance may be less and insome occasions the distance may be more.6. Detection range is similar to a rectangular bubblearound the sensor.7. This product is not recommended for applicationswith commercial trucks with high trailers due to thelimited detection height.8. This product is a wireless device and location ofthe AP100 Relay Board and each Sensor will havea significant effect on the performance. Try tolocate the devices with as much line of sight aspossible.9. Large walls, steel fences, foliage, etc will hamperthe radio signal range. Try to avoid such hazards.10. The system should be checked on a regular basisby a trained and authorized installer.IMPORTANT:DO NOT PARK IN THE PATH OF THE GATE. Thisunit will automatically retune and reset after detectingfor more than 14 minutes. This allows the gate toclose on a vehicle.DO NOT allow children to play near, on or withthe gate, gate operator, or any of its controls.!No Pedestrians No ChildrenNo BicyclesNo High BedRead and follow all UL and Safety Standards before installing.
