The battery can be chargedseparately with a special battery charger.To charge the battery:• Place the phone in the desktop charger or in the rack charger.The battery is being charged when the indicator on the phone issteady orange. When the battery is fully charged the indicator willbe green. A flashing green indicator means incoming call ormessage. A red indicator indicates battery warning. An animatedbattery icon is shown in the display, indicating charging be startingwith its current charge and ending with the full charge. A filledbattery icon indicates a fully charged battery.Note: Only use the prescribed chargers for charging.20.2 Charging Spare BatteriesSpare batteries can be charged with a separate battery pack charger. Thebattery pack charger can charge six batteries at the same time.20.3 Replacing the BatteryIf the standby time for the cordless phone becomes too low, replace thebattery with a new one. Contact your system administrator or your certifiedAastra Sales partner for information on new batteries. The battery is easyto replace. It is attached inside the battery lid and is connected to thecordless phone in such a way that no miss-contact is possible. Attach thebattery as described in Figure 15.
