8 9112i IP Phone User GuideProgrammable Keys Programmable KeysThere are 2 programmable keys onthe 9112i phone, located to the farright of the dial pad, below theSwap key.You can set the programmablekeys with any of the followingfunctions:• speeddial• DND (do not disturb)• flash• XML• Park• PickupThese keys can also be set up toquickly access features such as Callreturn (*69) or Voicemail.Note: Quick access features like Callreturn and Voicemail must first beconfigured on your PBX in order towork on your phone. See yoursystem administrator for moreinformation.Setting SpeeddialThe speeddial function can be setusing the IP phone UI or the AastraWeb UI.You can save 2 speed dial numbersand names to the 9112i. These canbe programmed to dial directly toanother person’s line or extension,or set up to quickly access featuressuch as Caller ID (*69), Voicemail.Use the following procedures to setspeeddial on the 9112i IP phone.Entering a Name/Number forSpeeddial KeyTo enter a number and name in aprogrammable key:1. Press K.The screen displays "Save to?"2. Select a Programmable Key (M)you want to save to.3. At the "Enter Number" prompt,use the dial pad key to enter thenumber.4. Press K.Note: To add a one second pauseduring number editing pressO.5. At the "Enter Name" prompt, usethe dial pad keys to select theletters. Continue to press thenumber key to access the nextletter for that key (i.e. press 2three times to access C). PressU to move to the next space, orwait a moment and the cursorautomatically advances. Toinsert a space between letters,press U. To backspace anderase a mistake, press T orL. You can save up to 16letters and numbers on eachprogrammable key entry.6. Press K to finish.IP Phone UI
