Theexternal line can be held for a limited period of time.When a malicious call is received, a signal can be sent to the switchedtelephone network (PSTN) before a call is disconnected. If the callingsubscriber clears the call, the external line can be held for a limitedperiod of time to invoke the malicious call tracing (MCT).It is possible to assign a shortcut key to MCT. Contact the system admin-istrator.12.7.1 Ordering Malicious Call TracingTo order MCT during a call, press the MCT shortcut key:• If the request is accepted, the shortcut key indicator is lit, a textmessage is displayed, and an acceptance tone is heard.• If the request is rejected, the shortcut key indicator flashes rapidly,a text message is displayed, and a reject tone is heardNote: If no shortcut has been programmed, press Hold and dial *39#.12.8 Direct Inward System Access (DISA)If you are assigned to use the Direct Inward System Access (DISA)feature and you are working externally, you can call your office and getaccess to an external line in order to make business calls. The businesscall will be charged to your office extension number or an accountnumber. You will only be charged for the call to the office.The external phone must be of push button type provided with a poundkey (#) and a star key (*), or a mobile phone adapted for dial tone pulses(DTMF). After a completed call you must hang up before a new call canbe made.The procedure varies depending on whether you use an account codeor not, and whether you use a common or individual authorization code.12.8.1 Calling With a Common Authorization Code1. Call the DISA feature at your office.Wait for dial tone.
