Unit G16 The Perfume Factory, Wales Farm Road, London W3 6UGQuick Start GuideAastra 6863i v1 20/01/2015Installing Your HandsetThe box for your handset will contain a number ofitems: The main handset chassis A plastic ‘foot’ which should be attached tothe base of the chassis A handset receiver A curly wire to attach the receiver to themain chassis An RJ45 Ethernet cable to connect thehandset to your local networkIf you have ordered a power supply unit (PSU) thenthis will be provided separately. Note that thephone does not need a PSU if your networksupports power over Ethernet (POE).The phone has a second Ethernet port which can beused to attach another device (e.g. your PC) to thesame network port in your office.Once the handset is powered and connected toyour network it should boot up ready for use, withthe correct extension number, date and timedisplayed on the screen.In the event that the handset does not boot upcorrectly then please contact our Support team.
