12 Model 57i CT IP Phone Installation GuideInstallation and Setup – 57i CT Base Unit Installation and Setup – 57i CT Base UnitThe 57i CT base unit can be setup to share a network connection withanother network device. Power can be provided by an AC adapter, an802.3af compliant network power source or with a PoE inline powerinjector (optional accessory). It can also be installed on a desk or mountedon the wall. If your Network Administrator has already setup yourphone, please refer to the Aastra IP Phone 57i CT User Guide for callhandling information or contact your Network Administrator.Direct or Shared Network ConnectionThe phone can be set up as a direct network connection to the Ethernet walljack or as a shared network connection as a pass-through if connecting acomputer or another network device to the phone.Direct Network ConnectionLocated at the top of the phone are two fully switched 10/100 MbpsEthernet cable ports. The port marked with LAN is used to connect thephone to the network, as well as provide power to your phone (ifrequired).
