Thenumber of line keys available for Speed members also depends on the number of BLF members defined inyour phone’s status group (managed by the system administrator). When status groups to which the phoneis subscribed are updated by the administrator, a list of BLF members is sent out to the phone, and the BLFmembers are dynamically placed on line keys not occupied by Line or DND line keys. Any line keysremaining after all members from the subscribed BLF groups have been placed are assigned to Speedmembers. Use the following steps to create a speed dial entry:1. Press Menu.2. Press 2 for Phone Settings.3. Press 7 for Set Speed.4. Use the arrows on the navigation bar to scroll to the desired entry. The entry number designates apriority for the speed member; lower numbers receive a higher priority when being placed onunoccupied line keys. For example, speed entry 1 will be placed on an unoccupied line key beforespeed entry 2.5. Press the Edit soft key to set the following parameters:6. Use the navigation bar to scroll to the desired parameter, and press the Edit soft key.7. Set the parameter using the options in Table 3 above.8. Press the OK soft key or OK on the navigation bar.9. Press the Exit soft key until the idle screen appears, or press CANCEL on the navigation bar toreturn directly to the idle screen.Table 3. To toggle between uppercase letters,lowercase letters, and numeral charactermodes, press the Aa1 soft key. The activecharacter entry mode is indicated by a symbol inthe upper right corner of the LCD display. Aindicates uppercase letters, a indicateslowercase letters, and 1 indicates numbers. Addspaces by pressing 0 (zero).3. Realm Sets the realm in which thisline key exists.Select from Internal, External, or Other. Thissetting is used in Shared Line Appearance (orKey System Mode) to select the line type for thespeed dial entry. Internal will use your localextension, and External will use one of theexternal trunk lines when placing the call. Otheris used for post-call setup dialing strings.
