2 Robot description2.1 Type A of IRB 1200Type A - Axis CalibrationThe difference between IRB 1200 and IRB 1200 Type A is that the Type A iscalibrated with Axis Calibration. On each axis there are bushings for installationof calibration tools. As a result of this, the castings differ between IRB 1200 and IRB 1200 Type A.NoteIRB 1200 Type B is designed based on IRB 1200 Type A so that Type B has thebushings for installation of calibration tools too.The difference between IRB 1200 Type A and IRB 1200 Type B is that Type Balso supports SafeMove 2. See Type B of IRB 1200 on page 64.How to know which type the robot is?The type label on the base of the robot tells if the robot is calibrated with AxisCalibration. Those robots are named IRB 1200 Type A.NoteIf no type label attached on the robot, use the bushings on each axis to identifya robot calibrated with Axis Calibration. Those robots which are not equipped for Axis Calibration are simply named IRB1200 (no type specified).Product manual, spare parts - IRB 1200 633HAC046984-001 Revision: D© Copyright 2014 - 2017 ABB.
