4The packaging for GSec switch-disconnectors consistsof a wooden pallet (L1200xD800xH700) and a twin-boardcardboard box with polyethylene shells (PE) for protection.A plastic covering protects the switch-disconnector from dustduring the period it remains in storage.Up to three switch-disconnectors can be stacked on top ofeach other. The surface of the loading platform must be non-slip with a high coefficient of friction.The platform must be fitted with frame members so as toprevent the units from shifting either longitudinally or cross-wise.The units must be fastened to the structure of the vehicle withropes to avoid damage and prevent them from tipping overwhen the transport vehicle is driven round bends or is sharplybraked.The vehicle must also be covered with a tarpaulin.2. Checking on receiptUnload the switch-disconnectors from the vehicle with theutmost care, as described in chap. 4. Immediately checkthe condition of the packaging as soon as the switch-disconnectors arrive. Make sure that the apparatus isundamaged and that the data on the nameplate on theoutside of the packaging (see fig. 1) correspond to theinformation in the order confirmation and shipping note.If damage or discrepancies are discovered, or the documentssupplied with the goods fail to correspond, immediately informABB (either directly, or through your representative or supplier)and the haulage contractor that made the delivery.The switch-disconnectors are supplied solely with theaccessories specified at the time of order and validated in theorder confirmation.1. Packing and transportStrictly comply with the indications on thepictograms and the instructions on thepackaging.
