2.2.12 Inspection, DressPack lower armGeneralIn order to ensure adequate life of the equipment, it is vital that the cables andhoses are properly installed and operated correctly, with their movement patternswell within the acceptable limits.This procedure describes how to inspect the DressPack lower arm installation inthis regard.Procedure, process cable packageNoteActionMinimum bending radius is approximately10x the cable or hose diameter.Do not bend any cable or hose excessively!NoteMake sure no cables or hoses are twisted.1Make sure all cables straps are tight enoughto prevent the cable package from movingin any undesired way.2Make sure the cable package is properlyconnected at the connection plate as wellas at the robot base.3Make sure no hoses or cables, or partsthereof, touch any part of the robot structurein a way that may cause wear.4Make sure all cables and hoses movesmoothly together during operation and thatno part of the cable package moves in adifferent pattern.5Make sure that cables, hoses or packagesdo not rub against any sharp corner ofsomething (not just the robot itself)!6Make sure all connection points are welltightened and sealed in order to avoid leaks.7Procedure, attachments and bracketsNoteActionTightening torques are specified:• For standard tightening torques -See tightening torque table inchapter References.• For non standard tighteningtorques see chapter Installation.Make sure that all cable clamps securingthe process cable package and protectivehose are tightened correctly.1166 Product manual - DressPack/SpotPack IRB 6650S3HAC055424-001 Revision: C© Copyright 2004-2018 ABB.
