For additional driveinformation, refer to the PowerFlex 400 User Manual, publication22C-UM001....What This Kit Contains • Main control board assembly consisting of a main control board, an LCDHuman Interface Module (HIM), and a plastic tray• Four spare tapping φ4*8 mm screws (for Frame D) andfour spare M4*8 mm screws (for Frames E-H)to be used for the plastic tray• This publicationSafety Precautions The following general precautions apply to the PowerFlex 400 drive.! ATTENTION: To avoid an electric shock hazard, verify that thevoltage on the bus capacitors has discharged before performingany work on the drive. Wait five minutes for the capacitors todischarge. Then, measure the DC bus voltage at the DC- andDC+ terminals or at the DC- and P2 terminals on the powerterminal block. The voltage must be zero.A darkened LCD display and LEDs are not an indication thatcapacitors have discharged to safe voltage levels.! Only qualified electrical personnel familiar with the constructionand operation of this equipment and hazards involved shouldinstall, start and/or adjust this equipment. Read and understandthese instructions in their entirety before proceeding. Failure toobserve this precaution could result in severe bodily injury orloss of life.! ATTENTION: This drive contains ESD (ElectrostaticDischarge) sensitive parts and assemblies. Static controlprecautions are required when installing, testing, servicing orrepairing this assembly. Component damage may result if ESDcontrol procedures are not followed. If you are not familiar withstatic control procedures, reference A-B publication 8000-4.5.2,“Guarding Against Electrostatic Damage” or any otherapplicable ESD protection handbook.
