MODEL 6600ASIX CHANNELAMPLIFIERThe Amplified Design International ProfessionalSeries Model 6600A is a six channel fullfeatured Amplifier. This compact instrument(four rack unit) is equipped with three individualpower supplies, six independent balanced andunbalanced inputs, detent level controls, signalpresence and “Soft Clip” indication, dualtemperature activated fan assist, Stereo/Bridgeswitches per each two channels. The 6600Adelivers 400 Watts into 8 Ohms, 600 Watts into4 Ohms and 750 Watts into 2 Ohms all sixchannels driven from 20Hz to 20kHz at less than.1% distortion (typically 0.01%). Model 6600Aincorporates a three-year, Five Star protectionplan featuring the following unprecedentedcircuitry. VI energy limiters are incorporated forshort circuit protection. If an extreme lowimpedance exists on any channel, a currentsensing circuit will reduce the output to preventamplifier overdrive.If an abnormally high AC line voltage is presentor an excessive voltage surge appears, theamplifier will detect the situation and turn itselfoff. If an unlikely DC situation occurs, DCsensing circuits will trigger the amplifier channeland turn off. Thermal sensors are installed ineach channel to protect against an overtemperature condition. “Soft Clip” circuitry hasbeen incorporated for added protection toprevent hard clipping from improper use. A rearpanel selectable 80Hz Linkwitz Riley fourthorder Lo-Pass filter switch has been added tochannel six for subwoofer applications. Otherfeatures included are internal selectable inputsensitivity, ground lift switch and fully modulardesign for service accessibility. Remote turn onis available as an option. The Model 6600A willoperate from 100/240V 50-60Hz AC Mains andmeasures 7” high (four rack unit), 19” wide and16 1/2” deep.
