3e–527A3 Wireless Access Point – 8 Port Chapter 3: Access Point Configuration29000152-001 B 31Dynamic Key ExchangeDynamic key management requires the installation of the 3e-030Security Server software which resides on a self-contained workstationconnected to the 3e–527A3 over the WAN port. The Security Server soft-ware configuration includes: obtaining a root certificate from a CertificateAuthority (CA) like Microsoft; obtaining user certificates based on the CAwhich will be used by the clients; and configuring the 3e TechnologiesInternational's Security Server software with the appropriate root certifi-cate. The Security Server software application is discussed in a separatemanual.If you have installed the Security Server software, Dynamic KeyManagement is the preferred security setup. Configure the IP addressand password of the security server and set the key type. Key type will beeither 3DES (192-bit), or AES (128-bit, 192-bit or 256-bit). Thereafter, theSecurity Server handles authentication dynamically.Once you have selected the options you will use, click Apply.
