Extends working distance from the digital system basestation.Radiation PatternThe 3M™ Omni Directional Digital Range Extender Model XT-1 has an Omni-Directional antenna, whichmeans it radiates the radio signal in all directions in the horizontal plane, however its vertical plane radiocoverage is very limited.When to use the Omni Directional Antenna and when to use the patch antenna3M recommends you use an Omni Directional antenna if you need coverage in two adjacent areas, suchas two sides of a building; 3M recommends the a patch antenna (78-6911-4691-7) if you require radiocoverage in one area, such as one side of a building.
