SM3G III User’s Manual403.3.3 DMZ SettingsThe DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) is used to enable protocols, which needs to open ports on the router.The router will forward all unspecified incoming traffic to the host specified in this setting page. Toconfigure it, mark to enable virtual DMZ and then enter the Host IP (private IP address) and click theApply button to enact the setting.Note: Putting a computer in the DMZ may expose that computer to a variety of security risks. Use ofthis option is only recommended as a last resort.DMZ Settings: Enable/Disable the function of DMZ.DMZ IP Address: Specify the IP address of the computer on the LAN that you want to haveunrestricted Internet communication. If this computer obtains its address automatically usingDHCP, then you may want to make a static reservation in the field of Statically Assigned onthe Internet Settings Æ LAN setting page so that the IP address of the DMZ machine does notchange.Except TCP port 80: If you click on the checkbox in front of Except TCP port 80 function, itmeans that TCP port 80 cannot be used for DMZ; otherwise, you can use this port for DMZ.
