In addition, with the DeviceMgr network management system,you can also locate the fault through management software.Troubleshooting theConfigurationAfter the switch is powered on, booting information is displayed on theconfiguration terminal. If the configuration system has failed, there is no screendisplay at the configuration terminal or the displayed characters are illegible.No information isdisplayed on theterminalIf there is no information displayed on the terminal after the Switch 7750 ispowered on, check that:■ The power system is working normally.■ The Fabric is working normally.■ The console cable has been connected to the console port in the Fabric.If this procedure does not reveal the problem, verify that the console cable isproperly connected and that the configuration terminal is set correctly.The display charactersare illegibleIf the displayed characters are illegible, the parameters of configuration terminalmay not have been set correctly. See Setting Terminal Parameters on page 49.TroubleshootingPowerIf the Power OK LED is off, there may be something wrong with the system powersupply. Check that:■ The power module has been installed in the correct position to ensure normalcommunication with the backplane.■ The switch power has been turned on.■ The power cord is connected properly.■ The source voltage is correct.
